Go to media settings and enable Bluetooth, and pair it when you start your car. It should be on your radio. Try turning off your Passat, turning it back on, and see if there is any VW PHONE on your phone popping up. VW Phone comes up on my Bluetooth but then I select it and my phone asks for a pin. the car does not provide me with a pin.

Same issue here. iPhone 12 and 13 Pro Max have bluetooth issue with my car's bluetooth handsfree (it's Volvo XC60 2010). One call goes through and then second one completely freezes my car's dashboard and stops communicating. Have to shut down the engine of my car for it to "restart" but doesn't work again after one call.
